Joe Egan Solicitors was established in 1986. The firm has grown, year on year, and now has distinct departments with expert Solicitors in each department. Well respected in Bolton, the firm has two offices in the centre of town offering a range of Legal Services including Divorce, Litigation, Conveyancing, Contact Issues, Criminal and Wills and Probate.

The firm’s founder Joe Egan was born and bred in Bolton. He attended St. Peter and Paul’s Primary School and Thornleigh Salesian College before studying at Kent University. He then spent many years travelling the world gaining valuable life experience before returning to Bolton and entering the law.

He has been a Council Member for The Law Society for over a decade and in 2015 was elected to become the President of The Law Society of England and Wales. The role was a three year position first being the Deputy Vice President for a year, then Vice President for a year before his year as President in 2017-2018.

Having worked for a number of firms, Joe felt he would be able to offer a better service to clients with 24-hour access by telephone from the beginning and later opening its doors on weekends. The firm has always gone out of its way to be accessible to clients by arranging appointments out of office hours and making home visits when necessary.

Some of our clients are eligible for legal aid and we do everything we can to assist them in obtaining legal aid funding where they are eligible and it is available.

For our privately paying clients we constantly strive to provide exemplary service for reasonable prices. We offer no win no fee on accident claims and sometimes on litigation cases as well. You shouldn’t have to worry about a unexpected bill on top of your other troubles.
